Skąd nazwa zespołu Drabina Jakuba ?– według Biblii drabina, którą Jakub widział we śnie. Sięgała nieba, a po drabinie schodzili w dół i wchodzili w górę aniołowie. Na szczycie drabiny Jakub ujrzał Boga Jahwe. Miejsce, w którym Jakub miał to widzenie, nazwał Betel.
